A TWO-VEHICLE collision has lead to the closure of the A48 between Nantycaws and Pensarn Roundabout this morning (Nov 29). The incident was reported at 8:15am.
Traffic is currently being diverted through the old Nantycaws road.
Dyfed-Powys Police, Mid and West Fire and Rescue Service and the Welsh Ambulance Service are in attendance.
A police spokesperson said: “We had the call just before 8.15am.
“Two vehicles are involved and it is blocking two lanes. Diversions are in place along the old road.
“Ambulance is at the scene.”
An ambulance spokesperson added: “We were called at approximately 8.20am this morning to reports of a road traffic collision on the westbound carriageway of the A48 in the Nantycaws area of Carmarthen.
“We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car and an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a man was taken to Glangwili General Hospital.”
The Herald understands that a man was trapped in one of the vehicles following the incident.
There are currently no reports on injuries.
