Police attended a two vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 3.45pm yesterday (Jul 24) on the A487 between Llanarth and Aberaeron.
The two vehicles involved were a red Volkswagon Polo and a blue Vauxhall Zafira.
One female was airlifted to hospital with what is believed to be serious injuries.
Four people were taken to hospital and later released.
The road was closed with diversions in place until 10.45pm.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Mid wales Roads Policing unit on 101.
