Bancyfelin: Man dies after Mini convertible leaves the A40

A 23-YEAR-OLD has died after his car left the road on the A40 dual carriageway near Bancyfelin, Carmarthenshire this weekend. The car was heading westbound.

It is not known exactly when the accident occurred. A rough estimate is that the accident happened sometime between 5.30pm on Saturday and the early hours of Sunday.

Dyfed-Powys Police patrols spotted the man’s dark-coloured Mini convertible in a field off the A40 at 12.40am on Sunday morning.

The driver was dead at the scene.

The deceased man’s family has been informed and police are appealing for motorists travelling in either direction between 5.30pm on Saturday and 12.40am on Sunday to get in touch by calling 101.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police told The Herald: “Police patrolling found the car and a full investigation has been launched”
