Andrew ‘Tommo’ Thomas: Taken off the air by the BBC

A FORMER Radio Carmarthenshire and current BBC Radio Cymru presenter, Andrew ‘Tommo’ Thomas, has been taken off the air by the BBC over comments he allegedly made at a festival.

The BBC have received a complaint about a comment which Mr Thomas allegedly made at the Gwyl Nol a Mlan festival in Llangrannog earlier this month.

The nature of the comments have not yet been made public by the organisation.

A spokesperson for BBC Wales said: “We have received a complaint and are investigating the matter.

“Whilst the investigation is held, Tommo will not be hosting his show on BBC Radio Cymru.”

Mr Thomas broadcasts from a BBC studio in Carmarthen, and is also the announcer at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli.
