CAMARTHENSHIRE Emergency Services were called to an incident in Bronwydd this morning (Jun 23) at 7.52am after reports of a barn fire.
Two fire crews were dispatched to the scene, tackling the flames with the use of a hose reel jet before leaving the incident at 8.35 am, allowing Dyfed-Powys Police to take over the situation.
A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MWWFRS) has confirmed that the fire was believed to be contained within the barn and was fuelled by a small amount of hay within.
Police and Ambulance services have been notified of the incident.
The MWWFRS spokesperson said: “This morning at 7.52am, an appliance from Carmarthen attended a fire involving a small amount of hay in a barn in Bronwydd. Firefighters extinguished the fire using one Hose Reel Jet before leaving the incident at 8.35am. The incident has now been handed over to the police.”
