YESTERDAY, Sunday (Feb 14) at 2.15pm St Davids RNLI all-weather lifeboat Garside set course for Sarah Desgagnes, a tanker with a crew member in need of medical attention.
RNLI volunteers broke away from Valentine’s Day celebrations after they were made aware that a 26-year-old, Canadian male was suffering with an infected foot and leg.
Two volunteers went aboard the tanker to assess the injury before he was transferred to the lifeboat, and brought to shore, where St Davids Coastguards took the casualty to Withybush Hospital for treatment.
