A CARDIGAN man and woman have today admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
Gary John Burke, 29, of 37 High Street, and 36-year-old Maria Hopeton, of 52 Golwg y Castell, attended a preliminary hearing before Judge Keith Thomas at Swansea crown court.
They admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis between 1 October and 14 November.
Hopeton also admitted possessing 5.3 grams of cannabis found in her handbag when she was arrested.
She denied a charge of possessing cannabis with intent to supply and the plea was accepted by the prosecution.
The court heard that Hopeton’s involvement had been to answer the telephone and pass on messages to Burke.
Judge Thomas said he would postpone sentencing until a probation officer had prepared reports into their backgrounds.
They were granted bail meanwhile.
