A CONDUCTED tour and extremely informative talk was thoroughly enjoyed by members of Cardigan Moose Lodge recently when they visited Cardigan RNLI station.

Organised by Lodge President John Brown, the visit and the talk given by RNLI member Simon Mansfield showed members how the equipment all worked and why.

From a water parachute to a puncture repair, Simon Mansfield talked about how the cost of all RNLI stations throughout the UK is all paid for by donations from the public, and the cost amounts to an eye-watering sum.

After their visit, Cardigan Moose Lodge went to The White Hart pub where a delicious meal was enjoyed by all.

On Saturday, September 24, members organised a Cheese and Wine night at the Moose Hall. Several friends of members came along to support and it was commented that it was ‘probably the best cheese board they’d ever seen’, and the wine was okay too!

An Italian Night was organised at the home of Tricia Fox, where members and friends were treated to a delicious Italian menu prepared by Mrs Fox and her trusty bunch of helpers. The frivolity went well on into the glorious summer evening.

Looking to the future, Cardigan Moose Lodge have organised a Prize Bingo on Friday, November 11, beginning at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Light refreshments will be provided in the entry.

The Moose Lodge will be holding a Christmas Market on Saturday, November 19 from 10am to 4pm ish, depending on how busy the market is. Anyone wishing to join us can book a table for £10 for 3ft up to £28 for 12ft.
