ON JUNE 29, Carmarthen will be taken over by superheroes raising money for Cancer Research UK and Ty Hafan. Merlin’s Walk is hosting their fourth Superheroes Saturday, which this year endorsed by the Chamber of Trade has seen Carmarthen Market and Tea Traders pledge their support.
Superheroes will be popping up around the town, with lots of Superhero side stalls on Merlin’s Walk. Are you brave enough to ride Supersheep, Is your hand steady enough to beat the giant buzzwire, do you have the strength of Superman?
For younger Superheroes there will be a bouncy castle, hook a superduck, a hunt for the infinity stones, tattoos and face painting and the opportunity to meet the Superheroes.
Retailers are also cooking up some sweet treats for a fund raising cake stall.
Ty Hafan, Cancer Research UK and Card Centre are all selling raffle tickets in the run up to the event, with some fabulous prizes to be won. Among the top prizes on offer is a night at the Corran Spa Resort with dinner, breakfast, spa use and a 25-minute treatment. Tickets to a Scarlets match and a signed jersey courtesy of the Swans.
