Carmarthenshire sinkhole emerges near home

Carmarthenshire Sinkhole

A SINKHOLE has appeared just metres away from a Carmarthenshire’s couple home this morning (June 28) in Towy View Park.

Residents tell the Herald that the ground collapsed just centimetres behind the home’s shed with and woke up nearby neighbours with its loud grinding sound.

The crater measures roughly 9 metres wide and 4 metres deep. A sinkhole is created by erosion and the drainage of water, some of which can appear slowly over time and others which suddenly collapse.
