CCTV appeal in assault investigation

DYFED-POWYS POLICE has released two photos of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault in Carmarthen.

The force is investigating an assault which took place in Lammas Street at around 3am on Sunday, July 23, 2017.

The victim, a 27-year-old man, reported being punched in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. He was left with a bump on his head and an injury to his lip which required stitches.

Investigating officers believe the man pictured could help enquiries, and are appealing for him or anyone who can identify him to come forward.

He is described as bald, with a neck tattoo and a lip piercing.

PC Alex Squires said: “This assault left the victim with nasty injuries, and we have been investigating the incident since it was reported to police last summer.

“We have completed all other lines of enquiry in relation to the incident, and have come to a point where we need to ask for the public’s assistance in identifying a man we believe could help move our investigation forward.

“If you think it is you pictured in these images, or you know who the person is, we would urge you to contact us by calling 101, quoting incident number 70 of July 23, 2017.”
