FACE COVERINGS are now compulsory on all public transport in Wales as of today, Monday (Jul 27).

The new measure put in place by the Welsh Government, will mean those travelling on any public transport including taxi’s will be required to wear a face covering by law – failure to do so will result in a £60 fine.

Today (Jul 27) Wales will also see the re-opening of museums, indoor cinemas, beauty salons, tattoo shops and housing markets.

Speaking on the new restrictions, The First Minister, Mark Drakeford said: “Coronavirus has not gone away. But if we all work together, we can keep Wales safe.”

Children under 11 are not required to wear a face covering and those with certain health conditions will be exempt.
