Family pay tribute to daughter

family tributeAN 18-year-old girl has died following a three-vehicle crash on the A487.

A spokesman from Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We can confirm that an 18 year-old female has tragically died following a three-vehicle road traffic collision.

“It occurred at 8.45am on January 27 on the A487 Llanrhystud Road. A white coloured Fiat travelling from Llanon towards Llanrhystud came in to contact with two vehicles near the entrance to Plasgwyn Residential Home which is situated between the villages of Llanon and Llanrhystud.

“Any witnesses are asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit at Cardigan Police station on 101”

The girl has been named as Gwenno Fflur Tudor, from Llanilar, and her family have paid tribute to their beloved daughter. Gwenno attended Llanilar Primary School and then Tregaron Secondary School, and was currently studying at Llysfasi agricultural College.

She was a lively, bubbly girl who always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed taking part in sports and played football for Penrhyncoch and hockey for Tregaron.

She also enjoyed taking part in young Farmers activities. She loved to spend time outdoors, and spent a lot of her time outdoors on the farm. Gwenno will be very deeply missed by family and friends.

Her family would like to thank all the family and friends for all their kind wishes and support.

Police Family Liaison officer PC 1182 Helen Yelland said: “This is a tragic incident that has had a heartbreaking impact on Gwenno’s family and a very close knit community, who have come together in their grief following the tragedy.”
