Fire crews called to A40 smash

EMERGENCY services attended a traffic accident on the A40 earlier this week.

Two fire crews from Carmarthen were called upon on Monday (Mar 30) after a collision between a car and a van outside the Tenby Road filling station between Carmarthen and St Clears.

Police and ambulance services were also in attendance, following a call at around 8am on M arch 30.

A spokesman for MAWW fire service told the Herald that all occupants had left the vehicles before the fire service arrived. “Fire crews assisted police in making the vehicles safe using small gear, and moved the vehicles to a safer location ready for recovery,” he added.
