Ghoulish fun in Cwmaman

screen-shot-2016-11-17-at-15-54-05CHILDREN had a treat on Friday night (Oct 21) as their half term began.

The Cwmaman Community Centre had been decorated for their Halloween party. Dressing up in Halloween costumes, children had fun and games throughout the evening, with a disco and spooky stories to prepare them for Halloween.

Cwmaman Mayor Cllr Kevin Madge said: “I would like to thank our Community Development Officer and volunteers for all their work in preparing for this event and making it a great night for all the children and families that attended.”

Stories about old mythical creatures were told and acted out by ‘The Storyteller Tree’. Children became creative as they created their own witches’ hats, and popped balloons with some surprises! There was also the opportunity to have airbrush tattoos from Funtime Face- Painting, with designs which included cats, the logo for Batman and many more!

Costumes during the night included a cat, The Hulk, a pirate and a pumpkin, with a lot of fun for children to prepare for their half term and for Halloween.

Rob Venus, Community Development Officer, commented on the event by saying: “Another first for a very long time for the Centre. Hopefully we can continue to build upon these firsts to give the community more and more opportunities to come together and enjoy themselves.”

You can keep up to date with events and activities at the centre on their Facebook page – Y Ganolfan Glanaman Community Centre.
