TOMORROW (Jan 8) will be the last day that Lidl in Haverfordwest will be open for business before the current building is demolished in preparation for a brand new and larger store.

The neighbouring building, which was formerly the J and G Blands garage, will also be demolished.

The brand new superstore, dubbed a ‘Lidl of the Future’, will provide more choice for shoppers and also bring with it 20 new jobs.

Plans for the new store were approved by Pembrokeshire County Council in September.

The car park will also offer 112 spaces, which is an increase of over 50% over the current parking situation.

Due to open in the winter, the new store will have an entrance on Thomas Parry Way.
