Haverfordwest: Police making progress in Priory Ruins rape investigation

POLICE are making progress in the investigation of an allegation of rape at the Priory Ruins in Haverfordwest, with one man having been brought in for questioning.

A young woman says she was raped in the early hours of Easter Monday, following a night out in town.

A spokesperson for Dyfed Powys Police confirmed to The Pembrokeshire Herald: “Police can confirm that a 25-year-old male has been voluntarily interviewed in connection with an allegation of rape in Haverfordwest on Monday 22nd April.”

DCI Jayne Butler said: “I can reassure members of the public that the investigation is continuing and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”

The woman is receiving support from specially trained officers as the investigation unfolds.
