DYFED-POWYS POLICE is investigating a serious assault that happened in Haverfordwest on Thursday, January 3 at around 6.30pm.
Police received a report of a woman in serious condition after an assault on North Street.
A 34-year-old man from Haverfordwest, has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody.
Enquiries are being carried out in the local area, including forensic analysis of the scene and house to house enquiries.
The victim remains in hospital in a life-changing condition.
