Historic Llandeilo Bridge Defaced JUST TWO years since

A mess: Vandals defaced the bridge walkway

JUST TWO years since reopening after vandalism damage, Llandeilo’s King’s Bridge – known locally as the Swing Bridge – has been damaged again.

White paint was thrown over the walkway of the pedestrian bridge during the night of Saturday (Jun 25), making an unpleasant mess, with the additional danger that paint could pollute the river Tywi below.

The bridge, built in 1911, was reopened in May 2014 after repairs costing more than £40,000. It is on a popular walking route between Llandeilo and the Bethlehem Road.
