Johnstown: ‘Prepare for jail’ says judge after GBH admitted

Swansea Crown Court

A JOHNSTOWN man has been warned today to expect a jail sentence after he admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm.

Sion Jones, aged 19, of Heol Drindod entered his guilty plea during a plea and trial preparation hearing before Judge Geraint Walters at Swansea crown court.

He admitted assaulting Finbar Jenkins on February 11 last year.

Jones denied assaulting Holly Mariie Wilson causing actual bodily harm on the same occasion, but admitted an offence of battery.

Judge Walters agree to delay sentencing to allow time for a probation officer to prepare into Jones’ background.

Jones will be sentenced later this month and was granted bail until then.
