OUR first engagement for the Town Mayor Chris Griffiths and Town Mayoress Mrs Sara Griffiths, Town Deputy Mayor Terry Davies and Town Deputy Mayoress Mrs Susan Davies, supporting Ymlaen Llanelli (BID).
What a pleasure it was to see people back out again social distancing and using the town to do shopping and socialising with the cafe’s.
Riding on the back and hard work of last year’s success events and a challenge with the Covid 19 lockdown. Ymlaen Llanelli (Ymlaen Llanelli is Llanelli’s Business Improvement District (BID), working to build a more vibrant town centre).
They took up the gauntlet to boost the town by arranging the Super heroes weekend last Saturday, be it at a lower scale from last year, but once again the dedicated team made it a success and a pleasure to be in the town with them, with characters such as Iron man and Captain America, and the Jurassic T rex and the princesses.

The Mayoral party visited Cowell Street and Marzano’s cafe and bistro and the market St Elli centre, Stepney street and Vaughn street to check out the towns activity and chat with the people. Rev Eldon Phillips our town Cryer was full swing with his bell and entertaining with his news.
All in all, everyone agreed it was a breath of fresh air after lockdown and to see that people were adopting a new style of shopping and experiencing the value and friendship in shopping at Llanelli. You may also check out the towns arrangements with the Bid on
