Llangwm: Three people hopsitalised after car enters Black Tar

THREE people were hospitalised after a car was submerged at Black Tar in Llangwm on Sunday evening (Jan 13).

All three occupants were checked over by staff at Withybush Hospital and thankfully none had suffered serious injuries.

Broad Haven Coastguard were called to the scene in addition to the police.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police were made aware of a vehicle entering the River Cleddau at Black Tar, Llangwm, at around 8.25pm on Sunday, January 13.

“As a result, three people were checked over by staff at hospital. None had suffered serious injuries.

“It is anticipated the vehicle will be recovered today.”

Broad Haven Coastguard said: “Broad Haven CRT were paged to reports of a vehicle having entered the water at Black Tar. When the team arrived vehicle wasn’t visible.

“Following a hasty search of the shoreline and following further enquiries it was established that the occupants had been taken to Withybush.

“The team were then stood down.”
