Man cut from car following collision

A MAN was cut from a car on Sunday (Jul 16) following a crash on the A484 between Pembrey and Burry Port.

A black Mercedes and a blue Renault were involved in the incident.

The Renault had hit a nearby wall in front of a house.

Dyfed-Powys Police, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service and the Welsh Ambulance Service were at the scene.

A Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “One appliance from Llanelli and one appliance from Kidwelly attended the scene.

“There were two private vehicles and all members were taken to hospital.

“One man was medically trapped so deep-cutting equipment and first aid equipment was used.

“Police and ambulance crews were also in attendance.”

A spokesperson for the Ambulance Service added: “We were called shortly before 5:45pm on Sunday, July 16, to reports of a road collision on Gwscwm Road, Burry Port.

“We sent three crews in emergency ambulances and a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and four patients were taken to Glangwili General Hospital.”
