A 27-YEAR-OLD man who was hit by a train at Whitland railway station last night (Sep 11) has tragically died.
Emergency services, including the Welsh Ambulance Service and Dyfed-Powys Police, were called to Whitland around 8pm after receiving reports that a man had been hit by a train.
Following the incident, the line was shut for much of the night as emergency services investigated the scene.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “We attended alongside colleagues from Dyfed-Powys police and the Welsh Ambulance Service; however, a 27-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“His family have been informed.
“We are not currently treating his death as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
