A MAN has appeared in court accused of planting a fake bomb at a busy centre in Swansea.
The 21-year-old is accused of placing an article with intent to cause alarm at Swansea’s Quadrant Shopping Centre on May 24 – just two days after the terrorist attack in Manchester, which killed 22 people.
This lead to the shopping centre being evacuated and the immediate area being sealed off by police.
He appeared at Swansea Crown Court yesterday (Jun 26) and was remanded in custody. On August 24 he will attend a plea hearing.
