DYFED POWYS POLICE are investigating a serious assault which occurred in Carmarthen on Monday night (Jun 27).
The incident took place in Morgan Street at around 11.20pm. The victim, a 47-year-old man, was taken to Glangwili Hospital, with serious injuries. His condition was described as critical.
On man has been arrested, and is currently in police custody.
A spokesperson for Dyfed Powys Police added: “Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them by calling 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555111.
“Increased reassurance patrols will be conducted in the area today.”
