DYFED-POWYS POLICE and the Welsh Ambulance Service responded to an incident on Milford Haven Marina on Saturday (Jan 30)

A number of police units and an ambulance were at the scene outside The Harbourmaster at around 11pm following reports of a casualty lying on the floor near the popular Milford Haven pub. Earlier today (Sunday), officers were conducting house to house enquiries asking marina residents if they had witnessed anything.

police-car-siren-image-1-87771461-300x199A resident told us: “We saw someone on the ground, and staff running out of the bar. There were around five police cars, and an ambulance at the scene. We heard some shouting.”

Another occupant of the flats near the scene of the incident said that police had visited their property this morning, but he had seen nothing as he was out at the time. The neighbour told us: “The police seem to be taking this incident very seriously; I hope the person injured makes a swift recovery.”

Further details are not yet available, and The Herald is waiting a statement from the police.

At the scene on Sunday there was little evidence as to what had taken place, except the discarded packaging of a medical tool used by paramedics to help clear a patient’s airway, similar to the suction devices used by dentists.
