Monster turnout predicted for truck show

OVER 500 trucks will assemble in Carmarthen on Sunday (Jul 9) for the 11th annual All Wales Truck and Transport Show.

The show, which focuses on fun for all of the family, is not-for-profit and is run entirely by volunteers with a passion for fundraising for charity as well as, of course, ​​trucks and transport.​

Over the years, the Truck and Transport Show has managed to raise an incredible £100,000 for ​its chosen charities, and ​is hoping to continue on with the tradition for many more years to come.

The idea for the show was born all the way back in 2006, where owners and drivers at other truck conventions and transport festivals threw around some ideas for starting their own show.

In September 2006 a small team of volunteers started putting these plans into action, and the first All Wales Truck and Transport Show was​ held -​ a true testament to all of the volunteers’ hard work and efforts.

There are a host of different attractions at the show this year which are bound to cater for all tastes, not only offering something a bit different, but guaranteeing a brilliant action-packed day out for all the family.

The day provides plenty of activities including an a fun fair, trade stands, and a monster trucks show.

Offering even more spectacular displays to wow audiences are the Broke FMX Motorcycle Stunt Team​ -​ the UK’s number one freestyle motocross display team​ -​ who are always a favourite of the show each and every year.

The thrill of athletes jumping 35 feet in the air pulling acrobatic stunts over gaps approaching 100 feet certainly is a sight to behold​,​ and leaves audiences on the edges of their seats.

With years of experience, Broke FMX stunt display team are dedicated to electrifying crowds of all ages.

A variety of food and trade stands will be scattered around the arena, offering a fantastic variety of food ​catering ​for all appetites and a varied selection of stalls to peruse, which ​will ​offer event merchandise and much more.

The event will be open from 10am-4pm.

Entry for adults is £5.
