New-born puppies stolen

POLICE have asked people to be vigilant after 13 puppies were stolen during a burglary in Carmarthenshire on Friday (Oct 6).

The puppies – a mixture of West Highland Terriers and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, along with two adult dogs – were taken from a property in the Cymwyl Elfed area between 7.30pm and 9.45pm.

The puppies are thought to be a few days old, and police have asked for members of the public to be vigilant should they be offered dogs of these breeds for sale over the coming weeks.

At present it is not known whether the dogs were targeted, or stolen as part of a burglary.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police by calling 101.
