A NEW leaflet for visitors to Cardigan has just been launched by the Town Centre Partnership.

A total of 35,000 of the full colour leaflet – which boasts an A3-size map of the town designed by artist Lisa Hellier – will be available from local traders, the tourist information office, the Guildhall and Cardigan Castle as well as further afield.

The leaflet was launched by partnership members at Pendre Art gallery this week.

It has been financed by local traders and Ceredigion’s coastal communities fund.

Town mayor and partnership chairman Cllr Clive Davies said: “It’s great to see local traders supporting this venture through advertising on the leaflet. This is something that we hope to do every year and will be a tool in our armoury for attracting visitors to the town.”

Cardigan Traders chairman Martin Radley said traders were pleased to be able to support the initiative.

Pictured in front of the Aberteifi Cardigan are mayor Cllr Clive Davies with Cardigan Traders chairman Martin Radley, Rhian Jones of the Coastal Communities Fund, George Burdett of Pendre Art and Dan Rickards and Robin Stanley of Rickards Design who created the leaflet.

The Town Centre Partnership is a body made up of representatives from the town and county councils, local traders and businesses, Cardigan Castle, Menter Aberteifi, Best of Cardigan, Coleg Ceredigion and Small World Theatre.
