AN INJURED man was trapped on a hill for three days before being rescued by a search and rescue team.
The Herald understands that the man who has been described as vulnerable broke his ankle while walking on Mynydd Carningli, near Newport, Pembrokeshire.
Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue said it believed he had been on the hills since Saturday (May 25).
A member of the public found the man and alerted the police.
Police officers called in a Coastguard helicopter to help with the rescue at 11:40am.
The man is currently being treated in hospital.
