Parc Howard museum re-opens

PARC Howard museum is welcoming back visitors once again following its closure due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The museum is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am-4.30pm. From November 2 – April 8, 2021 the museum will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 3pm. These times will be monitored and reviewed daily.

When visiting the museum, people will be expected to follow the new safety guidelines which includes limiting the number of visitors allowed in the museum at any one time, to maintain social distancing.

There will also be a one-way system in place, with directional arrows and hand sanitising stations.

Visitors will also be asked to provide their contact details on entry as part of contact tracing.

The museum boasts a fine collection of paintings by Llanelli and other artists and a wonderful mixture of items from the town’s history. Entry is free.

Cllr Peter Hughes Griffiths, executive board member responsible for Culture, Sport and Tourism, said: “It’s great to see that the museum has re-opened at Parc Howard. It goes without saying that visitors there will be most welcome, but we ask everyone to abide by the safety guidelines in place as safety will be the priority at all times.”
