Pembrey Country Park opens new attraction

A new adventure miniature crazy golf course has opened in Pembrey Country Park.

Crazy Golf is a purpose built 18-hole course, showcasing attractions in and around the park on each hole.

The first hole of the £150k themed course reflects the entrance to Pembrey County Park and the other 17 include a ski slope, shipwrecks, a closed road circuit, a munitions bunker, a lighthouse, Cefn Sidan Beach, playground, nature and ponds, camping, Yr Orsaf cafe, ice cream kiosk, woodlands, pill box, flowers, miniature railway, toboggan and dragon.

There is also a golf hut which serves up refreshments.

Visitors wishing to use Crazy Golf, which is funded through Carmarthenshire County Council’s Development Fund, are being urged to pre book a session by calling 01554 742435.

The council’s executive board member, Cllr Peter Hughes-Griffiths said: “This is another exciting development for the park which has developed greatly over the past few years. We’ve provided improved camping facilities, a new closed road circuit and a revamped café. The park has also played host to some high profile events including OVO Energy Tour of Britain and Battle of the Beach. We are committed to improving Pembrey Country Park, it’s such a wonderful place and in order for us to keep our visitors returning again and again it’s important that we provide them with the best facilities possible.”
