Pembroke Dock through to Alec Colley final

PEMBROKE Dock booked their place in the final of the Alec Colley Cup on Tuesday (Jul 19) as they beat Haverfordwest by seven wickets.

The semi-final was hosted by Llangwm and it was Town who batted first but they were restricted to 120-9 in their innings.

Jack Peters scored 30 while there were scores of 21 from John Ebernezer, Nigel Morgan and Ashoka Senavirathna.

Anton John bowled well for the Dock as he finished with figures of 4-35. Bowyn Clark also took 2-31 while George Smith and Rob Hearne were also amongst the wickets.

In reply, Anton John scored 33 before scores of 41 not out form George Smith and 13 not out from Peter Kingdom saw the Dock to victory with two overs to spare.

They will play the winners of the second semi-final, between Carew and Lawrenny, which is being played tonight (Jul 21) at Pembroke Dock.

The Alec Colley Cup Final will take place at Pembroke Cricket Club on Sunday, August 14.
