Pembroke: Jewellery and cash stolen from 93-year-old

A large diamond and amethyst ring: Valued at £325

POLICE are investigating after jewellery – including custom made rings and a wedding band – and £5,000 cash were taken from a house in Pembroke.

A 93-year-old woman has reported the theft of jewellery of sentimental value some time since the end of October.

The following items have been taken:

A 22 carat gold ring with a diamond inset in the top, and a solitaire diamond surrounded by a cluster or smaller diamond on a gold band valued at £325. These are one of a kind as they had been specially made.

Along with the jewellery, £5,000 cash has been taken.

Officers are appealing for anyone who might have been offered the rings or seen them for sale to come forward. Staff at jewellery and pawnbrokers are asked to pay particular attention to any items brought in to store.
