A PERSON has died following a collision with a train at a level-crossing near Kidwelly station this morning (Feb 13), The Herald can confirm.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “We received a call out at 11:34am to reports of a person having been struck by a train.
“The casualty has died at the scene, a level-crossing just off Kidwelly Station.
“The incident is being treated as non-suspicious.”
Trains running between Carmarthen and Llanelli are likely to be cancelled or delayed, Arriva Trains Wales have said. The disruption is expected to last until 3pm, with a replacement bus service running in the meantime.
Emergency services, including the BTP, remain at the scene.
