PROPOSED plans for a barn which would have housed up to 32,000 free range hens have been rejected
The barn, which would have been built on Godre Garreg farm, would have had the space for millions of eggs to be packed.
However, the plans were received with backlash and objections from locals.
In total, there were 79 objections lodged, in addition to a petition which had 1,300 signatures.
Many of complaints were around the potential smells, increased traffic in the area, and the close proximity to houses.
Nine of the 12 councillors rejected the plan.
