Police name motorcyclists killed in A40 crash

DYFED-POWYS POLICE has today (Oct 3) released the identities of the two men who were killed in a crash on the A40 between Llandovery and Halfway yesterday afternoon (Oct 2).

They have been named as 47-year-old Philip Martin Brimble and 44-year-old Philip Wayne Edwards.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have information about the incident which also involved a van.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “Dyfed Powys Police can confirm that the identities of the two men who sadly died in the collision on the A40 on Sunday 2nd October 2016 have been confirmed as Philip Martin Brimble, 47 from the Bridgend area Philip Wayne Edwards, 44 from the Merthyr Tydfil area.

“The vehicles involved were two motorbikes and a Peugeot Van towing a trailer.

“The driver and passenger of the van have been taken to hospital for treatment.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Dyfed Powys Police on 101.”
