DYFED-POWYS POLICE is investigating two burglaries believed to be linked in the Garnant area.
The first occurred in the early hours yesterday morning (Jan 16) at a property on Tabernacle. The offender has entered the house and stolen £70.
A few hours later, at around 6:45am, an attempted burglary occurred at a property on Maes y Hendre. The offender was disturbed by the occupier, who chased the intruder out of the house and up the road losing sight of him heading towards Maes y Bedol. Nothing was taken.
The incidents are believed to be linked.
The offender was a white male wearing a cap and carrying a rucksack. He was also wearing a black jacket.
Anyone who witnessed either of these crimes, or has information that could help police identify this man, is urged to call Ammanford CID on 101.
