WORK is continuing on upgrading a section of Langford Road in Johnston.
The improvements are being carried out as part of the new primary school being built nearby.
The road scheme includes widening the carriageway as well as providing better pedestrian and vehicular access to the new site
To enable the work to be carried out, Langford Road has been closed to all traffic – other than emergency vehicles – and will remain so until around the middle of March.
Alternative diversionary routes are in place and signposted.
Every effort is being made to lessen the time the road is closed and the Authority apologises for the inconvenience it is causing.
Work on the new school site commenced in October and is due to be completed later this year.
