Disturbing video: The horse appears to be whipped and kicked

A VIDEO posted on social media site Facebook on Monday (Oct 31) which shows a horse apparently being viciously whipped has been watched over 16,000 times as of this morning (Nov 2).

The RSPCA is now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

In the video, which many Facebook users are speculating to take place within west Wales, a woman attempts to mount a horse but is then thrown off, which leads to a man restraining the horse as the woman appears to whip it repeatedly.

The video was posted on the Facebook page RAID – Rescuing Animals In Danger, which is a page dedicated to collecting evidence of animal abuse which is then passed onto the authorities.

An RSPCA Cymru spokesperson said: “We are aware of this alleged incident, and would urge anyone with further information to contact us.

“Members of the public can contact our 24-hour Cruelty & Advice Line on 0300 1234 999, to report cruelty or an animal in distress. Calls are treated in confidence.”
