AN INSHORE RNLI lifeboat and its volunteer crew were tasked to reports of a dog over a cliff near the entrance of Solva Harbour yesterday morning (Jan 15).
The call came through at 11:15am and, once on the scene, the lifeboat crew recovered the dog and conveyed it into Solva harbour.
Once back on land they handed the dog over to its owners in who were being looked after by St. David’s Coastguard team.
Sadly, the dog did not survive the fall.
The lifeboat then returned to station, arriving back at 1:15pm, refuelled and was ready for service.
