POLICE have closed a section of the A40, near the village of Cwmifor between Llanedeilo and Llangadog, following a collision involving a van and a car.
The incident happened around 7am this morning (Nov 28), with Dyfed-Powys Police announcing the closure of the road on Twitter at 7:40am.
On the social media platform the police said: “A40 closed between Llandeilo & Llangadog Ashfield roundabout due to an RTC.”
A Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crew and the Welsh Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
A fire service spokesperson said: “We were called to the incident by the police shortly after 7.10am this morning.
“We are currently at the scene, making the area safe. Nobody is thought to be trapped in either of the vehicles involved.”
