AS the school summer break approaches, how about planning a trip to The National Library of Wales?
An exciting programme has been created for children and young families for summer 2016 which includes puppet shows, Roald Dahl workshops, popular Welsh cartoon screenings, a poetry workshop with Anni Llŷn, and creative writing workshop with Bethan Gwanas.

The Library is home to the Gregynog Gallery: the largest art gallery in Wales – and has held exhibitions by some of Wales’ most prominent artists. The gallery currently features photographs of Mametz Wood by Aled Rhys Hughes and inspired by David Jones’ famous poem, In Parenthesis. A programme of events is published four times a year featuring information about the Library’s exhibitions, talks and presentations, and general visitor information.
Caffi Pen Dinas is open from Monday to Saturday and offers a wide range of quality freshly baked local produce. Indulge in a little retail therapy at the shop which stocks quality, bespoke gifts, cards, books and work by local artists.
