THREE people have been arrested in connection with two assaults in Carmarthen.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, affray and possessing a class A drug.
An 18-year-old man and 17-year-old girl have been arrested on suspicion of affray.
The arrests come as Dyfed-Powys Police investigates two assaults in Carmarthen town centre on Sunday night (Jul 15), in which six people reported being injured.
DI Wayne Bevan said: “People in Carmarthen might have been aware of a heavy police presence in the town yesterday as officers worked to locate the three suspects.
“They were arrested last night and are currently in police custody.
“We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident, and would like to thank members of the public for their patience while enquiries were carried out.”
