A TODDLER was left in a minibus on the hottest day of the year on Tuesday (Jul 19) for two hours by a nursery in Aberystwyth.
A member of staff from Camua Bach nursery has been suspended and the nursery has been closed for a week following the incident. It’s scheduled to re-open next Thursday (Jul 28).
Following the incident the nursery released a statement saying: ‘Following a serious incident today, when a child – without staff knowing – was left on a minibus for over two hours outside Camau Bach nursery, the matter was immediately referred to Care and Social Services Inspectorate (CSSIW) and the local Safeguarding Board.
“The member of staff who was responsible for the child was instantly suspended from her work.
“A full investigation will follow, and in order to allow this, Camau Bach will be closed for a week.”
