FIREFIGHTERS have been dealing with a fire at a fish and chip shop building on Treherbert’s main street.
The A4061 Bute Street was closed in both directions for several hours between B4522 Dunraven Street and Church Street.
Bus services were diverted and traffic monitors showed traffic is queuing in the area.
South Wales and Fire Rescue said the alarm was raised at 10.51am and they were called to a “domestic fire”.
Crews from Treorchy, Tonypandy and Ferndale were at the scene.
South Wales Police said they were also at the scene.
The blaze was under control by lunchtime and the road re-opened shortly after.
