A POLITICS student at Aberystwyth university is to go on trial accused of deliberately biting off part of a man’s ear.
Geraint Jones, aged 25, appeared before Judge Geraint Walters at Swansea Crown Court today (Nov 18) for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
Jones, of Queens Avenue, admitted causing grievous bodily harm to Gwynant Jones on October 31, 2015, but denied doing so intentionally.
The court heard that the portion of ear bitten off could not be reattached.
Jones, an Army reservist, will stand trial on February 14.
He was granted bail until then.
