Tributes paid following A40 fatalities

screen-shot-2016-10-18-at-10-43-53TRIBUTES have been paid to the two men who were killed in a crash on the A40 between Llandovery and Halfway on Sunday afternoon (Oct 2).

47-year-old Philip Brimble, from near Bridgend, has been described as a ‘dearly beloved husband and soulmate of Ann. Has left a massive void in the lives of his family and friends’.

Philip Edwards, a 44-year-old from the Merthyr Tydfil area, was a ‘loving partner, father, grandfather, brother and son and will be sorely missed by all his family and friends’.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have information about the incident, which also involved a van.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police can confirm that the identities of the two men who sadly died in the collision on the A40 on Sunday, October 2 have been confirmed as Philip Martin Brimble, 47, from the Bridgend area Philip Wayne Edwards, 44, from the Merthyr Tydfil area.

“The vehicles involved were two motorbikes and a Peugeot van towing a trailer.

“The driver and passenger of the van have been taken to hospital for treatment.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Dyfed- Powys Police on 101.”
