Truckers support NHS staff and keyworkers

A CONVOY of lorries attended Withybush General Hospital last night (Thursday, May 21), to show their appreciation to all frontline workers throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

Over 70 lorries in total were in attendance for the weekly 8pm ‘clap for carers’, some adorning banners with messages of support for the NHS.

The convoy started at Withybush trading estate, through to the hospital and ending with a tour of the town.

Along the way the lorries sounded their horns in show of their support, while residents, NHS staff and the general public clapped along.

Staff and supporters commented how it was an ‘emotional’ display and they appreciated the gesture.
